Where It Started

NTB began in September 2025 during a conversation over crêpes. We discovered a shared conviction that what neurodivergent communities could use, most communities really, was a portable, jargon-free toolkit that could improve communication and effectiveness of interaction where it counts.

For too long, conversations about neurodiversity have started with what's missing. We wanted to start somewhere different — with the idea that every orientation is a complete way of seeing, and that the real opportunity lies in learning to translate between them.

Most frameworks for understanding neurodivergence begin with a system — diagnostic categories, clinical criteria — and fit the person into it. The system precedes the human.

NTB inverts this. We take a humanist approach: beginning with lived experience, treating it as legitimate knowledge, and building understanding outward from there.

What We’re Building

• Begin with the person, not the diagnosis — a humanist methodology

• Expand the neurodiversity conversation beyond clinical frameworks to all people navigating a world built for a different cognitive style

• Demonstrate that neurotypical–neurodivergent collaboration produces something neither could make alone — NTB itself was built this way.

• Build mutual legibility — communication bridges that carry understanding in both directions

Our Mission

To foster a world where neurodiversity is recognized as part of the human experience — not an exception to it — by creating tools and communities that empower all people to navigate social connection, honor diverse perspectives, and contribute their unique gifts.

Our Approach

Every person is a complete way of seeing.
We don't start from what's missing. We start from what someone already knows about themselves — and build outward from there.

Translation, not correction.
The friction between different cognitive orientations isn't a problem to solve. It's a gap to cross. Our tools are built to help people cross it — in both directions.

Designed for everyone, because everyone navigates this.
Neurodivergent and neurotypical minds exist in the same families, classrooms, teams, and relationships. Legibility between them benefits all of us.

Proof of concept, not just concept.
NTB itself is the model — a neurotypical and a neurodivergent person building something neither could have made alone.

The Shift

Self-knowledge leads to understanding.

Understanding leads to accepting that others hold their own self-knowledge.

From there, a bridge becomes possible.

A paradigm shifts.
